This block of Zinfandel on the eastern bench above the valley floor is adjacent to our former old red barn off of Lytton Springs Road and was planted by Fred in 1999. Normally a main component of our Dry Creek Valley Zin blend, this year we held back two barrels of 100% single vineyard to share with our wine club members and other true Zin Lovers

Tasting Notes
With almost perfumey aromatics, the nose offers up bright red berries with an earthy essence. This wine presents an elegance on the palate not generally associated with Zin. The spicy entry flows into a core of Bing cherry infused with plum, mocha and subtle brown baking spices. The delicious fruit and creamy long finish effortlessly balance the bright acidity and oak notes to create a sophisticated, inviting Zinfandel.
Food Pairing Notes
With its unique flavor profile, this is a great Zinfandel to pair with grilled raspberry glazed chicken, or cedar-planked southwest steak served with bacon-Gruyere smashed potatoes.
