Agraria 2012, Big Barn Red, Bradford Mountain Estate Vineyard
All of the grapes for this wine were grown in the Bradford Mountain Estate Vineyard overlooking the Dry Creek Valley from the west at an elevation of 1000 feet. The ancient, well drained, alluvial soil on Bradford Mountain and the southwest exposure, produces wine with balanced intensity and layered depth. A blend of 75% Cabernet Franc, 25% Merlot, and aged in new French oak barrels for 26 months. Every step utilized in the growing of the grapes and care of the wine was guided by one principal: To capture in the bottle the unique aroma, flavor, and structure of the best Dry Creek Valley wines.
