Zinfandel, Dy Creek Valley Blend
-
1998 Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley - Tasted from 375ml bottle in tasting room- 10/26/09- Earthy, spicy aromas, and definite aged characteristics, but still surprisingly satisfying. Not quite recognizable as Zinfandel, as the fruit has faded, but it has enough backbone to hold everything together and keep it interesting.
Zinfandel, Bradford Mountain Vineyard
-
2000 Zinfandel, Bradford Mountain - 10/21/09- The bright mountain acidity has kept the fruit fresh and lively, and the minerality is showing through as well. Should continue to evolve for another 2-3 years.
Zinfandel, Bernier Zinyard
Zinfandel Tradizionale Old Vine
-
2004 Zinfandel, Tradizionale - 10/29/09- Like a glass full of luscious, vanilla-cream berries. The ripe '04 vintage has lower acidity levels than normal for this bottling, and that combined with integrated tannins makes for a wine that is extremely pleasurable to drink. Tasting delicious now, and should hold for a year or two, but drink by 2012.
